You’re in the right place

If you’ve landed here, there’s a good chance you already have a healthy dose of self-awareness. You might have read some books, listened to podcasts, or even spent years in therapy trying to understand yourself better, because…

You’re tired of feeling emotionally exhausted. You’re done with overthinking everything. And you’re completely over feeling disconnected from the person you know you have the potential to become.

The problem is all the knowledge you’ve acquired hasn’t brought about the transformation you crave. You still don’t feel calm or confident, and you keep finding yourself in relational patterns you know aren’t healthy.

Here’s the catch…

If you’re still feeling stuck, ‘trying harder’ probably isn’t the solution. Most people still feel stuck because their nervous system learned how to survive, and those survival ‘programs’ need updating.

This means you can understand your attachment wounds, name your trauma, and explain your patterns perfectly and still freeze during conflict, shut down emotionally, or feel like you’re “too much.” You can ‘know what’s going on,’ and still feel at a loss for what to do about it.

Self-awareness and psychoeducation are POWERFUL. But friend, if you could logic your way out of these survival patterns, you probably would have done it already. We need to go deeper – beyond the thoughts and words. When we compassionately work to reclaim the parts of us that were shut down, disowned, criticized, or suppressed, we create a felt sense of safety in our body, and that’s when true, lasting healing takes root.

Embodied healing

The path toward healing has many checkpoints, and most of them will be highly unique and personal to you. But three of these milestones are essential for full, embodied healing:

EXPLORATION

This initial stage is all about reflection, research, self-awareness, and gaining essential insights into the what and why behind your symptoms.

Traditional talk therapy is great for this.

INTEGRATION

Integration is the process of learning how to apply the insights and stay present with your body in real time – not only in stressful moments, but also when experiencing goodness and joy.

TRANSFORMATION

Fully empowered embodiment. Living out everything you’ve learned. When you show up in the world as the full-embodied version of yourself, everything shifts. Relationships become more satisfying, you navigate your career with more authentic confidence, and you experience more tranquility in daily life.

For real change to occur, we need to work with the body, not against it. If you’re feeling stuck at ‘integration station’ please consider reaching out and booking a discovery call. I’d be glad to speak with you and learn more about your unique situation.

About my qualifications

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with advanced training in trauma-informed, somatic, and attachment-based therapies. I’m also a DBT certified and PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy) trained. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 11 years teaching yoga and movement therapy, which deeply shaped how I understand emotional regulation, embodiment, and the nervous system.

My extensive experience teaching therapeutic yoga has deeply informed the way I show up as a therapist. While I do not teach yoga in session, somatic movement is certainly an in-session option. If you’re curious about therapeutic movement techniques, simply let me know. The mind-body connection is so real, and I take a very grounded, highly attuned approach to my somatic work with clients.

My work integrates:

How it all comes together

I seamlessly draw from all these modalities and techniques to custom curate a healing experience that’s unique to your specific needs. That said, I would say I predominantly utilize IFS and DBT – all from a somatic therapy lens.

Our somatic therapy work together will be dialogue-based and body-attuned, and we will often tap into the power of visualization and active imagination to better understand the way our body responds to certain stress and triggers.

Who I work with

…and who tends to feel right at home with me.

I primarily work with adults in their 20s and 30s who are thoughtful, sensitive, and highly attuned to the emotions of others – often to the point of feeling disconnected from themselves.

Many of my clients:

  • Feel responsible for other people’s emotions
  • Struggle with dating or repeating the same relationship patterns
  • Feel ashamed for wanting reassurance, closeness, or clarity
  • Get stuck in internal debates about what they think they ‘should’ want
  • Have done therapy before but still feel stuck or overwhelmed

Somatic therapy benefits

What therapy can look like when it’s working

Effective therapy isn’t about endlessly rehashing the story or intellectualizing your feelings. I don’t believe healing requires pushing yourself, reliving trauma, or performing vulnerability. Healing can be…

  • A collaborative process that balances acceptance with change.
  • Learning to respond to situations from a place of compassionate curiosity for yourself and others.
  • Responding to situations intentionally and authentically

These benefits often translate into real-life shifts like speaking up earlier instead of second-guessing yourself and staying present and grounded during conflict instead of shutting down or becoming emotionally flooded. You may still notice your anxiety, but you won’t be overtaken by it. Perhaps most importantly, you’ll learn how to choose relationships that feel steady rather than familiar-but-chaotic.

My commitment to you

Many of my clients come to me after feeling frustrated by therapy that felt passive, overly analytical, or disconnected from real life. They don’t want to spend another year explaining their childhood without seeing change in their present. Please rest assured…

I TAKE AN ACTIVE ROLE.

Therapy with me is a collaboration. I don’t hold some secret knowledge about you. I actively work with you to help you make discoveries. I offer reflection so that you can see yourself more clearly. I offer you a big picture perspective about your life.

I AM FULLY ENGAGED.

My commitment to you is that I show up to each session fully present. I use my body as a tuning fork to help you explore what you might be feeling beneath the surface. I hold dual-awareness of what’s happening and what’s wanting to happen. I pay attention not just to your words but how your body is responding to your words.

I REMAIN GROUNDED.

We’ll always honor where you’ve been and your lived experience, but we won’t fixate on purely gaining insight from your past. We’ll explore how your past has shaped how you engage with your life right now, then we’ll focus on helping you live the life you want to live and problem solving your present reality.

You are not too much

All of you is welcome here! There’s room here for your full experience, so please bring it all. Bring your sensitivity, your questions, your longing for something more aligned and integrated, and know that change really is possible.

Please know, you don’t need to become less emotional to heal. Healing deepens when you feel safe enough to be honest with yourself. Therapy doesn’t make life perfect, but it can help you navigate life in a way that feels aligned with your values and with the person you’re in the process of becoming.

If you’re curious about working together, please schedule a discovery call at the link below. A discovery call is a free, 15-minute phone conversation where you can ask questions, share what you’re hoping for, and see if my approach feels like the right fit.
